But the thought of going home for the holidays triggers you.
You're a grown-ass adult who has worked on healing all areas of your life.
You're flourishing and confident...
Then, you go home for the holidays and it's a total shit-show.
KNOW WHAT I MEAN? ;)

You feel anxious just thinking about going home for the holidays.
Every year, you cut your holiday visit shorter, because it is physically draining.
You're confused...your family says they love you and have missed you; however, they make you feel small, judged, and "not enough!"
You're a grown-assed adult, but your family sees you (and treats you) like that old misfit kid.
It doesn't feel safe to share your true IDENTITY - who you are now, your accomplishments and successes, without fear of criticism.
It often feels one-sided. Showing up and spending time with your family doesn't feel mutually beneficial. You feel like you're doing all the work to get along and keep the peace.
You cannot relax and be yourself. Perhaps you keep yourself small to avoid drawing attention, or, maybe you get fired up! With that special edge, you REBEL and purposely stir the pot.
You feel exhausted, deflated, and DONE when you leave, asking yourself, "Why do I put myself through this every year?"
First, know this...you're not alone!
